　　In Jingyan County, Sichuan Province, vast fields and simple rural life have nurtured a unique folk art — Jingyan folk paintings. Rooted in farming culture and village traditions, this art bursts with vivid colours, bold shapes, and rich compositions that bring farming seasons, festivals, and rural custom to life. It has developed a distinctive language:“painting the sky, the earth, oneself; painting mountains, rivers, and local charm.”
　　With a rustic and heartfelt style, Jingyan folk paintings express the farmers’ sincere emotions and unique aesthetic views. Each piece breathes the scent of soil and the spirit of the countryside. Beyond vividly recording socialist rural progress and spiritual growth, these works have become a shining cultural emblem for Sichuan. For more than fifty years, Jingyan folk paintings have journeyed far and toured nationwide, gaining wide recognition.
　　In recent years, while honouring tradition, Jingyan folk paintings have embraced innovation by weaving in themes like local customs, anti-corruption, the rule of law, core socialist values and the Chinese Dream, becoming a beloved cultural medium. In 2023, artist Rao Yi’s A Prosperous Year of Abundance won gold at the 8th Folk Craft Arts“Rural Culture Award”. The piece skilfully
　　blends folk, New Year, and decorative　painting styles, using full compositions and　bright colours to evoke a warm, festive spirit. It　vividly portrays a harmonious, joyful new era, conveying hope and a sense of celebration for　a better future.
　　Against a backdrop of cultural revival, Jingyan folk paintings unfold like a vivid rural tapestry, telling stories of life’s rhythms, nature’s beauty, and the poetry of daily living—shining ever brighter with each passing day.

井研农民画：乡土画卷里的时代赞歌
　　四川乐山井研，这片广袤田野与淳朴乡风孕育出别具魅力的井研农民画。根植于农耕文化与乡村生活，这种艺术以鲜艳的色彩、夸张的造型和饱满的构图，生动地描绘了农时节庆与乡俗风情，形成“画天、画地、画自己，画山、画水、风情”的独特语言。
　　井研农民画以质朴亲切的风格，传递出农民朴实的情感和独特审美。井研农民画的画面弥漫泥土芳香与乡野气息，不仅真实反映社会主义新农村建设和精神文明成果，也成为四川文化对外交流的亮丽名片。半个多世纪以来，井研农民画作品频繁参加全国巡展，声名远扬。
　　近年来，井研农民画在传承中创新，积极融入民俗风情、廉政文化、法治建设、核心价值观及中国梦等主题，成为群众喜闻乐见的文化载体。2023年，画家饶艺创作的《盛世丰年》荣获第八届民间工艺美术“乡土奖”金奖。作品巧妙融合农民画、年画和装饰画元素，以饱满的构图和明快的色彩，展现了喜庆节日的温馨氛围，生动描绘了新时代幸福和谐的生活，传递对美好未来的向往与礼赞。
　　新时代文化大发展背景下，井研农民画如乡土画卷，诉说生命律动、自然之美和生活诗意，焕发出更加绚丽的光彩。
