Towering over the picturesque Sichuan Basin, Mount Emei, —tranquil yet vibrant—, has conserved many ethereal myths. From the legend of Jinlong Temple, the diligent Emei people gave life to me — the Woven Rush Loong.
　　Cradled in golden rush, woven by the artisans of Fuxi Village, I listened as an elder recounting the history of my ancestors... Originating from the Ming Dynasty, we became highlights at many traditional galas. Today, the frame of nine sections resembles“jiu”in Chinese, which means eternity and reflects people’ s wish for propitious omen. Weaving head first, a structure framed next, grass became scale, turning rush into its hide... The exquisite technique earned me a place on the ICH list.
　　During my growth, our teams’dragon dance has attracted visitors from home and abroad. The undulating and sinuous parade was coiled around the crowds, my glistening rush scales danced in the moonlight, making my hometown a kaleidoscopic riot of color. By swooping and soaring rhythmically, I wanted to bring out the best of Emei’s charming culture... Time flies. The boy who once watched the performance has now taken up the loong’s head. I still remember a bearer once saying that a good loong can both display culture and perserve nostalgia...
　　Much like the dragon dance standing out because of countless turnings and thousands of backward glances, a new generation’s pilgrimage must be steeled through legacy. With the construction of Mt. Emei High-Speed Railway and Leshan Airport, my new friends —sky-soaring loong and mountain-scaling loong are approaching!
　　In the book Romance of the Three Kingdoms, loong represents change recognition,adaptation and initiation, which reflects today’s Chinese wisdom. Even if I’m just a small part of the “grass” roots culture, I’ m still a totem shouldering the nation . Because I understand the fact that storms test the strength of grass.

　　织就历史，舞动未来。
　　峨眉山，高耸于锦绣巴蜀，有着“峨眉天下秀”的美誉，也孕育诸多迷人的传说。从金龙寺的传说中，峨眉山人为席草赋予了龙的生命。
　　我在峨眉山符溪镇匠人用金色席草编就的摇篮中，倾听老者娓娓道来我祖辈的历史……发源于明朝，我们成为各大传统庆典上的明星。今日，九节龙骨的设计，寓意着我们为人们带来长久祥瑞的美好愿景。不止如此，先编头，后架骨，席作皮，草织鳞，精巧的工艺使我名列非遗。
　　在我的成长历程中，我与舞龙队员一同带来的舞龙表演，吸引世界的目光。蜿蜒起伏的游龙环绕盘旋，金草织就的龙鳞在月光下舞动，为家乡带来绚烂生机。随着律动，我时而俯冲，时而腾空，希望能展现最美的峨眉文化……光阴飞逝，昔日欣赏舞龙节目的小男孩，如今已举起了龙头。我仍记得一位传承人说：真正的席草龙，要传得出文化，留得下乡愁……
　　正如舞龙走位的百转千回，需要多少次回望，才能坚定地开始新一代人的远征。随着峨眉高铁、乐山机场的陆续建造开通，我的新朋友——翻山龙、飞天龙，正纷至沓来。
　　在名著《三国演义》中，龙代表着识变、应变、求变的中国智慧。尽管我只是草根文化的冰山一角，但我仍是民族的图腾，因为我深知——疾风知劲草。
